Founded in 2009 in Jackson Hole, WY, Purple Orange LLC produces small batch, high quality brand communications mixed with creativity, modern mediums and a respected authentic voice.

Our professional influences range from publishing, large and small agency work, and former in-house marketing; we like to think we see the whole picture for our clients. Specializing in outdoor and active lifestyle brands, our clients have spanned industry-leading performance apparel brands, food and beverage, outdoor tech, and non-profit work. Sr. Affiliate Manager ($70K – $90K yr / DOE)

Position Summary.

Purple Orange Brand Communications is looking for a results-driven Sr. Affiliate Manager to help lead the agency’s next chapter in affiliate marketing and commerce media management.

Primary Responsibilities.

KEY ACCOUNT LEADERSHIP 

Possesses a masterful understanding of full-funnel affiliate marketing practices and can strategically guide clients’ affiliate programs along that funnel. Can simultaneously manage 5-7 client programs from strategy to tactical execution. Shows a strong ability to plan for account health and program success over short and long-term periods. Prioritizes tactics to align with the client’s goals and proactively adjusts goals when necessary. Brings experience with content-affiliates, loyalty / cashback, coupons, and coordinating paid activations.

CLIENT SERVICE AND EXTERNAL COMMUNICATION 

Consistently provides superior client service, acts as a direct point of contact, and escalates issues or key risks as appropriate to the Affiliate Director. Works with internal teams to coordinate client deliverables on time. Develops and nurtures excellent client relationships, reflected by very high client satisfaction and deeper client investment into the affiliate practice.

REPORTING AND ANALYSIS 

Strong ability to strategically review, organize, and present data in an intuitive visual format and verbal presentation. Has strong spreadsheet skills, including the ability to self-organize raw data to troubleshoot problems, identify improvement areas, and suggest new tactics to further client KPIs.

TEAM LEADER AND INTERNAL COMMUNICATION 

Enjoys sharing information and providing mentorship to other junior team members. Maintains and nurtures strong relationships with affiliate contacts. Serves as a conduit for upward and downward communications, maintains team morale, and is viewed as a reliable, go-to person. Comfortable with team delegation, clearly sets expectations and boundaries, and ensures clear work assignments. Can lead a team through difficult and stressful situations while keeping others motivated.

Some travel is required for client meetings or other internal meetings, conferences, etc.

Position Requirements.

Internal Knowledge & Technical Understanding

  • 2-3 years direct affiliate marketing experience (in-house, agency, network) required.
  • Knowledge of Affiliate Networks or SaaS platforms (AvantLink, CJ, Impact, etc.) required.
  • Strong familiarity with all relevant data aggregators / providers: Affluent, Google Analytics, Impact, Optimize, CJ, etc.
  • Can troubleshoot attribution issues and facilitate solutions to deep-linking issues, product feeds, GA attribution, etc.
  • Can fluidly interpret search visibility reports to create publisher gap analysis and other partner (PR) opportunities.
  • Advanced Excel capabilities and comfortable with formatting, formulas, customizing. reports, etc.

Client Affiliate Execution

  • Nurtures excellent client relationships through clear and concise verbal presentation skills, data visualization and storytelling, and compiling weekly and monthly meeting agendas.
  • Has confidence, poise, and eloquence in client meetings and difficult situations.
  • Provides prompt and thorough responses to all client requests.
  • Masterful understanding of key performance indicators (KPIs), and can explain the meaning to others.
  • Practices effective questioning and exhibits a level of executive presence with client teams.
  • Prioritizes competing objectives and self-manages daily tasks in order of urgency and importance.
  • Can identify and communicate strategic next steps, due dates, and task progress to internal teams and clients.
  • Has incredible attention to detail and can multi-task and coordinate several projects at once.
  • Displays accountability, coordinates staff deliverables and always meets deadlines.

Affiliate Strategy

  • Can navigate publisher / affiliate partner communication confidently, striking the right tone between partnerships, advocating in the best interest of our clients, and enforcing program rules.
  • Nurtures long-lasting affiliate partnerships through strategic recruitment and negotiation efforts, thoughtful follow-ups, and optimal commission structure.
  • Discovers ways to elevate client exposure through commission, paid partnerships, and other incentives.
  • Stays abreast of the affiliate landscape to understand various tactics and levers within the program.
  • Plans and executes full-funnel affiliate partnership strategy on a monthly and long-lead basis.
  • Ability to organize thoughts, emails, and other data in easy-to-reference, intuitive ways.
  • Provides excellent oversight of affiliate performance on a regular basis.

Workflow & Internal Team Leadership

  • Communicates progress, deadlines and completion of daily / weekly tasks and goals.
  • Shows thorough organizational skills across client deliverables, affiliate media kits, and ongoing tasks.

PR Manager ($60K – $75K / yr – DOE)

POSITION SUMMARY:

Purple Orange Digital Communications is looking for an experienced PR Manager to join our growing agency.


Primary Responsibilities:

MANAGE NATIONAL PR EFFORTS
Serves as the primary client / media contact for 3-4 national outdoor brands. Maintains professional communications with clients and media partners. Able to stay self-motivated and hyper-organized amid an entirely digital and demanding daily routine. Possesses great writing skills and the ability to translate complex ideas into succinct vernacular.

CLIENT SERVICE AND COMMUNICATION
Consistently provides superior client service, acts as a point of contact, and escalates issues or key risks as appropriate. Works with team to ensure the client develops trust in our team by overseeing client outputs and communication are delivered in the Purple Orange way. Develops and nurtures excellent relationships, reflected in high client satisfaction and retention.

REPORTING AND ANALYSIS
Uses data strategically and nimbly; primarily responsible for performance reporting and ensures that all data entry is accurate and precise. Performs routine sales projections for client programs and for individual opportunities to support recommendations to clients backed by clear KPI’s.

POSITIVITY & TEAM ORIENTED
Enjoys working alongside a team, either in person or digitally. Navigate daily tasks with empathy for other people’s workloads and personal accountability. Affiliate Coordinator ($50K – $55K / yr)

We are looking for an Affiliate Marketing Coordinator (entry level) to support the agency’s affiliate marketing and commerce media management division.

The Affiliate Marketing Coordinator plays a vital role in supporting Affiliate Managers and ensuring efficient affiliate operations across clients. The role involves organizing affiliate contacts and data, assisting with organization of contacts, correspondence, keyword research, and program analysis. The Affiliate Coordinator reports into the Affiliate Manager and must effectively manage daily communication, organization, and affiliate management tasks. The role requires strong organization skills and attention to detail while prioritizing tasks, providing progress updates, and responding promptly to internal requests.

Expectations and Daily Tasks.

1) Communication & Organization

  • Ability to self-manage daily tasks in order of urgency and importance.
  • Takes initiatives on weekly tasks and deadlines as assigned by Account Manager (AM) and clearly communicates progress on daily & weekly tasks.
  • Responds in a timely manner to internal requests from colleagues.
  • Ability to organize affiliate contacts, data, and promotional details in easy-to-reference, intuitive ways.
  • Strong attention to detail across tasks (data organization, reporting, contact organization).
  • Brings positivity, empathy, and integrity to all internal communication.

 

2) Affiliate Management

  • Assists Account Manager in pulling affiliate partner contacts and organizing new contacts in the Copper Database
  • Assists Account Manager in logging ongoing promotions, promotion KPIs and success, and creating tearsheets of promotions.
  • Assists with keyword research, Search Engine Visibility analysis, and overall program performance analysis.
  • Assists Account Manager in approving / denying affiliate applications per the outlined client strategy.
  • Assists Account Manager in flagging any ‘red flags’ in the program (elevated conversion rates, bad actors, misused coupons).
  • Actively checks Media Summary for recent coverage and can flag opportunities for success with Account Manager.
  • Reviews Media Dissemination and can flag upcoming opportunities with the Account Manager.
  • Assists Account Manager in submitting relevant product releases / sales information to appropriate publisher forums.

 

3) Reporting & Analysis

  • Ability to pull relevant data for various client reporting needs across affiliate software platforms.
  • Verbally present progress of clients, reports and tasks to AMs.
  • Prepare specialized reports and spreadsheets for various client and AM needs.

 

4) Team Orientation

  • Asks appropriate questions / seeks help while also trying to exhaust self-help resources in the process.
  • Brings problems to the forefront in a timely manner.
  • Challenges broken systems and suggests fixes / better ways of doing things.
